My son and I had the pleasure of hearing you speak and meeting you last year when you came to our little town of Lake Jackson, Texas, for Brazosport Christian School's 25th anniversary. Ty was 13 at the time and is a major fan, so it was quite a thrill when he was able to hear you speak and meet you briefly. I want to thank you for taking the time to shake my boy's hand and snap a photo with him. He keeps that picture in his room. At the time I told you about my grandfather, Ty's great grandfather J.B. Cook, and how watching your videos really cheered and encouraged him during his treatments for cancer. You asked me to email you the story to remind you about it; but I forgot until now. At the end of the school year Ty's 8th grade Bible teacher assigned a written report about their favorite Christian leader. You guessed it; Ty chose you. With Father's Day coming up, Ty and I have decided to give a copy of the report to his grandfather "Pop Pop" as a gift. He'll be 87 years old on his next birthday and he's still got a great sense of humor! I am sending you a copy of the report, sure hope Ty got his facts right :) By the way, he got an "A".

I just had to write and tell you...I am so excited I can hardly stand it!

I was at Silver Dollar City this past weekend and saw you. I was so amazed by the Evange Cube that I had to purchase the large one. As I told you, I am an Elementary Principal at a Christian School in Sherwood, AR and I speak in our weekly chapels from time to time. This was my Friday to speak to our 3rd-6th graders. I had assembled my EvangeCube and was eager to get to try it out. I used it this morning and the results have been wonderful!!! The students sat there in amazement as I presented the gospel.

As a result, I have had 9 children come by my office to be saved!!! This is wonderful! Revival has broken out in one 4th grade class!!! I know we have been planting the seed since the first day of school, but this tool was just what we needed to help all those seeds grow in those kids hearts. I just can't say enough how thankful I am to you for sharing about this evangelical tool in your program. Because you followed God's leading, 9 precious souls are now going to be with us in Heaven!

Keep up the great job that you are doing! Oh, and I thoroughly enjoyed your programs this past weekend. It was such a pleasure to get to meet you in person and have my picture made with you!

Thank you for all your prayers! Believe you me, I FEEL them - I really do! And they are making a difference. I couldn't do without them.

May was jam packed... did 24 days in a row.... covering basically 34 cities... whew!! Yes, in 24 days. But your prayers empowered me. Then in June we had a stretch of 11 days in a row. Your prayers again saw me through. Now, July has hit... but it's ok.... I'm going CRUISING WITH DR. CHARLES STANLEY in ALASKA! I'M gonna be 'chillin' for Jesus! But I need your prayers... yes I do. On those cruises... I'm working.. trying to 'encourage the saints' cause they deserve it -and - they need it! Hebrews 10:25

I'm slowing down just a bit this Summer... trying to spend some time with my Family. Trying to rest...and prepare for the Fall...because it will be busy as well. Just check our our Calendar.

Pray for the Entire Swanberg Family. Chad (our oldest - 24) has come on board at SCM as Director of Ministry Operations and Dusty is my Road Manager....and consultant (he has provided me with many stories that people love to hear - Dusty has a good sense of humor and is gracious to let me share stories as well as put stories on him- ha). Lauree continues to hold down the Fort at the office. And Wendy Bradshaw picks up the slack in the office fulfilling many orders as well as working with many great organizations that book me month to month.

These soldiers have just returned from Iraq and or getting ready to go to Iraq or Afghanistan. Pray for our Soldiers! The Swan feels the prayers of the saints as he reaches out to our Military all across our World! Please continue to pray for the soldiers and The Swan as we all need 'ENCOURAGEMENT'!

October 23, 2007	A note from our email bag... Dennis visited my home church, FBC Carrollton, Tx, years ago and we loved him! Just recently my 73 yr old father got a Lifeway cd from his SS teacher with short stories alternating with brief devotionals. He absolutely cackles when listening to them over and over and over! And.......my 15 yr old twins love listeing on the way to school. I bought my Dad 3 dvd's last weekend for his birthday but he won't watch those as much as he'll enjoy cd's. my twin daughter had no idea that "Mr. Haney" was really a part of our lives when we were young! June 21, 2007	The season of FATHER'S DAY is here - and I want to thank all DAD's out there for your role and your responsibility you have to your family and kids! I pray that you never grow weary in your Divine Duty as a Dad! I'm so thankful for my Dad, Floyd Leon Swanberg! He has always been selfless in his love for the entire Swanberg Family! He is my HERO! He has loved my mom as Christ has loved the Church. And he has loved us kids with a servant style of leadership that gives us a good picture of the servanthood of Jesus Christ! Lauree and I have been staying busy serving others with "The Ministry of Encouragement!" Most recently we've been with Dr. John Hagee in San Antonio, TX encouraging his 400 men that recently completed a 12 week course in becoming a Godly Man for Christ! It was an awesome Sunday night -- we were honored to have a part in the graduation service! We also were blessed to encourage our Southern Baptist Convention in San Antonio, TX. I spoke for the Pastor's Wives Luncheon -- a lot of fun -- Ol' Swan with 1,500 sweet ladies! I was definitely outnumbered but we had a great time of fun and encouragement. view photos A few weeks ago I had the wonderful opportunity to speak at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, TX (Dr. Tony Evans’ church). It was a genuine and sincere joy to speak to a predominantly African-American congregation with Dr. James Meeks, a special guest speaker from Chicago, IL. We appreciate the fine folks at Oak Cliff for having “The Swan” for three nights in a row! view photos I get to 'bump into' soldiers at airports all the time.... most recently I went up to Sgt. Dwight Martin in DFW airport -- and said, "y'all on your way back"? And Sgt. Martin said, "Dr. Swanberg, you've been to my church in Conroe, TX -- we have your cds and dvds -- my family loves you"! Well, we had a neat time of fellowship right there in the midst of about 150 soldiers. I gave him a big ol' Bear Hug and told him that I would be praying for him! We talked about his relationship with the Lord and tears came to his eyes as he stated how he has grown in Christ Jesus! What a fine young man! We are putting together a 'Goodie Package' for him as he returns to Iraq!! Hopefully, the package will catch up with him in the mail in the next week or two! I love our soldiers!! Every now and then I get a great SURPRISE LETTER. I got this one from a Swan Fan down in Texas. His name is Ty! Check this out, he even went to the extent of using “The Swan” for his school report -- and can you believe it, he got an “A” What a fine young man -- he has encouraged me!! Thanks Ty for your kind words. view Ty's letter and report Well, Summer is busy! The Swanberg Christian Ministries Softball team plays every night of the week. The boys are doing well and representing our ministry in a fine way. And every now and then, they let me pitch for them when I am in town! I did a quick head count for January 2007 till now (June) and we've been able to ENCOURAGE, FACE TO FACE about 70,000 people!
