Does Dr. Swanberg have a fee for his speaking engagements or does he come for a love offering?

Due to the demands upon Dr. Swanberg’s schedule, he has a honorarium/fee that he normally receives when he speaks for an event whether it is a church environment or another type of event. Although he would like to be able to come for a love offering only, this would make it very difficult to plan his schedule and find time for his family as well. Since Dr. Swanberg began this ministry of encouragement over 8 years ago, he has tried to be flexible whenever he can. Our office will be happy to discuss his fee with you and work with you in regards to your specific event.

We will take into consideration the number of times Dr. Swanberg will be speaking and adjust the honorarium accordingly. It is always more benefical to you to have Dr. Swanberg speak more than once, this way you will get "more for your money!"

Do we pay the entire honorarium in advance or wait until the event?

Normally a 20% deposit will be required the event is booked through Dr. Swanberg’s office. The balance of the honorarium/fee will be due to Dr. Swanberg at the time of the event.

Dr. Swanberg’s travel expenses are separate from his honorarium/fee. Dr. Swanberg has two modes of travel that he utilizes. He has a motorcoach that he travels in whenever possible, or he will come by plane. All travel expenses are for two people. Dr. Swanberg has someone travel with him at all times. This is either his road manager (if he flies) or his bus driver (if he comes by motorcoach). His schedule before and after your event will dictate which mode of travel he chooses. The expenses will normally include either airfare or motorcoach expenses, bus driver fee, meals, rental car (if applicable) and lodging. We ask that the sponsoring organization provide two hotel rooms for the event.

When will we be informed about Dr. Swanberg travel arrangements?

Normally we try to let the sponsoring organization know the travel expenses and arrangements approximately two weeks before Dr. Swanberg arrives. Due to the fact that his schedule changes so frequently, we normally do not make airline reservations prior to 21 days before the event.

Does Dr. Swanberg’s wife travel with him?

Normally, Mrs. Swanberg does not travel with him on a regular basis. Due to the fact that they still have a child at home, she chooses to be at home and keep the "place in order." If she does come to an event, we will inform you of this at the time travel arrangements are confirmed.

Do I need to send a W-9 form for Dr. Swanberg to sign?

This is entirely up to your organization. Swanberg Christian Ministries is a non-profit organization and all checks need to be made out to the ministry, not Dr. Swanberg personally. If your accounting office needs a W-9 filled out, please send one to our office and we will be happy to send it back to you.
