About Dennis Swanberg

America’s Minister of Encouragement

Dennis Swanberg is a gifted Christian speaker, comedian, and pastor who originally served the local church in pastoral ministry for 23 years. However, in 1995, he chose to take a massive leap of faith. At that time, he stepped down as a full-time church pastor in order to step up to the microphone on stages and platforms all across America.

Consequently, he soon became affectionately known as “America’s Minister of Encouragement.” Today, Dennis continues to take his job seriously by speaking to about 150 organizations, faith-based groups, and corporations around the nation and the world every single year. In addition to his live speaking engagements, he has also hosted two successful TV series, authored nine books, and created over two dozen DVD/CD productions. Through all of these mediums, Dennis has truly loved bringing laughter to audiences across the country.

Regarding his educational background, Dennis attended Baylor University, where he majored in both Greek and Religion, graduating in 1976. Following his undergraduate studies, he went on to earn a Master of Divinity in 1980, as well as a Doctor of Ministry in 1986, both from the Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.

As for his personal life, Dennis currently lives happily in Granbury, Texas, with his wife, Lauree. Furthermore, his two grown sons, Chad and Dustin, continue to bring him immense joy, valuable life lessons, and love.
